The 24th Annual Education in Palliative and End-of-Life Care (EPEC) Conferences will be held in Oak
Brook, Illinois this Fall. The EPEC-Core and EPEC-Emergency Medicine “Become a Trainer” conferences
will be held September 28-29, 2023. Each consists of 16 hours of teaching about core topics in primary
palliative care and also include sessions on self-care and on helping colleagues plan their teaching. All
attendees will also receive the full EPEC curriculum to use in their teaching. The “Professional
Development Workshop” will be held September 30, 2023, and consists of 8 hours of training on
teaching techniques in palliative care. It is open to all disciplines interested in medical education. For
